DATE/TIME: Saturday, 06/13 from 11:00am-2:00pm, Art History Series: Surrealist Artist and Novelist, Lenora Carrington 1917-2011
Carrington was a part of a truly unique and inspiring movement of artists, The Surrealist, beginning in Paris 1924. Climb into the works and words of a movement full of special intrigue, dripping clocks and the obscure. Our journey will begin with a short lecture and conversation led by Dorthy Paredes followed by a mixed media collage led by Rosie Taylor. We will tickle our brains and pull the weird and obscure to our surfaces and build a piece of art worthy of conversation. Please note, participants are welcome to submit finished pieces from this workshop to our Surrealist Salon on June 19th.
