***A One Night Surrealist Salon / Submission is May 25th-June 6th / Speakeasy event is Friday, June 20th from 7:30-9:30pm***
In honor of the Summer Solstice and keeping in our new tradition of the "Speakeasy" world, we are delighted to invite artists to submit one to three pieces of Surreal art.
During the early 1900s, artists were exploring the worlds of the inner workings of the mind. They cracked open the possibilities of navigating obscure ideas, dreamlike worlds and concepts that stretched the viewer to new lengths. This included not just well known visual artist like, Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Leonora Carrington, but musicians, preforming artist and writers. In our first salon, we are excited to invite all expressions of the surreal.
This will be a free event for all to join. More details on the event its self to come, but we'll be keeping the encouragement of Flappers and Gents attire alive. What is better than an early summer's eve dressed in one's finest and quirkiest being spirted away by minor keys, curious stories and tasty offerings? We say not much. Our crooked little house will take you back in time and into a world full of the Surreal.
Please submit images through email to theminersbazaar@gmail.combetween May 25th-June 6th. Images must be sent as an attachment and not as an image in email body.
Submission Guidelines:
~Artists are welcome to submit one to three pieces. There is no medium limitation. all 2D and 3D works are welcome.
