Ongoing: Unconventional Art Club

Every Thursday, 5-8pm

Join us every Thursday to dive into creative adventures with other makers! No medium restrictions or sketchbooks necessary. This “Club” is created to bring us Makers and Creatives into a space to connect and make together. Bring your own mediums of choice, a sketchbook or any surface or project to play with. There will be weekly prompts, various mediums available to dive into and play with (Project Fees may apply), demos and monthly Giggle Water Specials! Cost: Free!

WORKSHOPS

Two Color Relief Printmaking / Saturday, June 14th, 10am-2pm

In this workshop we will be creating a two colored print by using the reductive technique found in woodblock and linoleum printing to create a bold print in two colors. We will go over different techniques and examples to help makers create their vision. If you're not comfortable drawing, no worries! We have many methods to help with drawing and transferring  your vision into a final piece of art! $65/maker + includes $10 drink credit.

Encaustic Melted Wax Art / Sunday, June 15th, 11am-2pm

Oh melty wax, fire, vibrant colors, transfers, the options are endless for this exciting medium! Join us for a grand time of creative exploration. We will go through a few favorite techniques like image transferring, collaging, painting and more! $85/maker + includes $10 drink credit.

Herbal Tincture / Thursday, June 19th, 5:30pm-7:30pm

Learn to make your own medicinal herbal tincture with local wildcrafted plants. The workshop will begin with an overview of the plants we will be working with. There will be a demonstration of the tincture making process and then the opportunity to create your own tincture blend with herbs of your choosing. $50/maker + includes $10 drink credit.

Botanical Watercolor Workshop / Friday, June 20th, 11am-2pm

This spring has been a floral of inspiration! In this watercolor workshop we will be pulling from our natures gems and exploring the watery whimsy of these paints. Makers are welcome to choose from pre-drawn examples or draw their own using phot references for inspiration. $45/maker + includes $10 drink credit.

TWO part Wet Felted Clutch with Needle Felted Details / Saturday, June 21st AND Sunday, June 22nd both are 11am-2pm

Felting is an ancient past time brought up through the ages. It is a technique used to create functional pieces by wetting and soaping up felting fibers than squishing and ringing and repeating to create beautiful pieces of functional art. In this workshop we'll be starting with wet felting and working with a vibrant pallet of dyed fibers to create a little clutch to store your keepsakes, wallet and/or other treasures. Come back Sunday morning after our pieces have fully dried to needle felt in sweet details and patterns to finish off your unique clutch. $180/maker + includes $10 drink credit.

Alcohol Ink Landscape / Thursday, June 26th from 5-8pm

Alcohol inks are quirky characters. Unpredictable and utterly entertaining! For this workshop, we will be playing with the sassy attitudes of this medium to create a fantastical landscape. Drip drop and slide colors and explore with different techniques and enjoy the vibrancy as your illustration evolves! $50/maker + includes $10 drink credit.
